As an international student you will find yourself confronted with different philosophies, words, and social situations than the habitual use. The same goes inside the classroom, where the presentation of course materials and the expectations of the instructors can be confusing or vague.

Take notes for example. Taking notes is an essential part of the learning process, so it is crucial to develop strategies for taking notes efficiently and to help you get the most out of your class notes. Here are five ways to get started:
