It would mean that you have more opportunities.

Studying in the United States and abroad doesn’t just give you explicit degrees and certificates. Your experience says something about who you are. Sometimes, these features are more influential than your degree.

Life here for both an international student and a visitor will probably be different than you expected. You may be pleasantly surprised to hear that images in films and television programs are not always true. Americans come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes and are generally very friendly and will be eager to learn about you and your country.

For any international student, the United States has a lot to offer: one of the world's most prestigious, top-notch higher education systems, eclectic cities and beautiful natural parks, culture, history and a multicultural population.

Diversity and Variety

The United States offers a variety.

There are a wide range of schools, numerous areas of study and degrees of specialization. If you are interested in studying business, you are not only assigned to general studies, but can choose from a number of concentrations: accounting, marketing, international business, business management, business administration, or finance. (There are many more!) This type of specialized research is also available at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

One option you may not be aware of is studying at a community college, a two-year school where you can start your university studies. You can complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at a community college and then transfer your credentials to a four-year university. It is extremely common in the United States.

Or, you can start your studies at a four-year university or college. The variety and number of choices reflect the diversity and vastness in the United States so you can study at a larger public university or college. If you prefer a closer campus and a smaller community, you can choose a smaller private university.

The land and people of the United States are also incredibly diverse. For example, the West Coast region has a lot of beaches, outdoor activities, people have a relaxed attitude and you will probably see many local international communities. The Midwest has many large research universities and people are known for showing their hospitality and kindness. The USA is a multidimensional society that still continues to exploit new immigrants, making it a highly dynamic and exciting place to experience. Roads and university campuses are generally clean and safe if students are careful in some places.

A Unique Higher Education System

Universities and colleges in the United States may differ from universities in your own country in many ways. A class can have 10 to 20 students, giving you the personal attention you need for success. Professors meet with students in their office or share coffee or meals with them. The close relationship between students and faculty inspires students and enhances a personal outlook for the curriculum. Studying in the United States gives you the opportunity to become a mentor in a given career, an invaluable asset.

You may be surprised at the interest of your professors in challenging the authorities. Academic independence is one of the hallmarks of the United States. You will notice different perspectives on instruction. You will be expected to listen to your classmates and challenge their point of view. The goal is realistic, so that you can gain confidence and gain the ability to organize and present an argument.

Imagine going to New York City and taking the ferry to the Statue of Liberty! Many schools have international student organizations and clubs that plan activities. Your classmates will teach you about American culture and the different cultures represented on any U.S. University or college campus.

The Leading Edge

The United States is at the forefront of many areas of technology and research. While studying here, you will come in contact with advanced technology and research. You may have the privilege of meeting and even studying with top scholars in your chosen field. Why not study the best?

Unique education system

Studying in the United States gives me plenty of opportunities to practice what I have learned. I really enjoy it, especially in my major, organic chemistry. I have to be in lab class every week to practice what I have learned in the lecture.
